Annual membership fee:

R 150.00 - single member

R 250.00 - family
(includes children under 18 years)

Note: You must fill in a membership/indemnity form when you joint the club and when you renew your membership.

You will be issued with a membership card when you pay. You will need to show this card to the hike leaders when you are booking a hike to get the member's price.

Hike Booking Procedure

1. All hikes open for booking at club meetings; preference is given to members at the meeting over telephone booking and non-members.

2. Hikes are rated as F (Family), M (Medium) or S (Strenuous). If in doubt speak to the hike leader.

3. Due dates are strictly adhered to. Where 2 dates are given - 1st is deposit date & 2nd is final due date.

4. Cancellations forfeit the hike fee unless the hiker finds a replacement. It is not the responsibility of the hike leader to find replacements.

5. Transport to and from hikes is excluded unless specifically arranged and noted in the program.

6. Food, beverages & equipment is excluded unless specifically arranged and noted in the program.

 

 

Payment Procedures

1. You can pay the hike leader by cash or cheque at the club meeting. Cheques must be made out to the Boksburg Hiking Club. Make sure that you get a signed receipt.

2. You can pay by Internet transfer or direct deposit into the Boksburg Hiking Club bank account (Account details below) - you must use the "hike code" and your name as your reference, e.g. blyde/jsmith, otter/kvandermerwe, etc. and email or fax the proof of payment to the hike leader. Only then will you be confirmed on the hike.
